Every story begins with a connection. Through sun and rain, we're grateful to have met kindred spirits and to travel side by side. As autumn deepens and a new journey begins, even more optimizations are on the way.
In the upcoming version, this update focuses on Co-op improvements, enables up to 60 FPS on PS5, and refines the Sea of Stars region, Photo Mode, and Color Lookbook. We hope these updates deliver an even better gameplay experience in the new version.
Co-op Mode: Key Improvements Ahead
The journey's long, but it's always better with friends. Since Co-op launched, stylists have shared countless adventures together. Every resonance from the stars and every meaningful illumination mark the start of something new.
From in-game and community feedback, we've seen how Co-op turn strangers into warm connections. At the same time, we've also noticed some issues affecting this experience. In response, this new version will include a wide range of Co-op optimizations.
First, no more key feature restrictions in Co-op maps. While you're in the Sea of Stars, you can join Mira Crown, check Styling Factions, read the Folklore Guide, and more. You can also enter the Realms to exchange materials or complete Realm of Eureka challenges without leaving the Co-op map.
Better quest tracking while in Co-op. In the current version, when you're in Co-op mode or on Co-op maps, the quest panel shows "No Active Co-op Map Quests." After the update, your tracked quests will remain visible. In addition, if you're in single-player, but a quest is blocked by Co-op mode or due to Co-op mode, a quick option to exit Co-op will be available so you can continue progressing without interruption.
In the current version, Co-op may fail for various reasons, but the vague prompts often leave stylists unsure of why they can't connect. In upcoming updates, we will gradually ease Co-op restrictions to reduce failures caused by version mismatches or certain in-game states. We will also introduce clearer text prompts that specify the exact reason—such as when a stylist is gliding, riding a vehicle, or preparing for a performance—so stylists can adjust their status and reconnect more easily.
In the near term, we're planning to further optimize multiplayer interactions. When multiple Starlit Shadows are in the same Co-op map, interaction icons above characters will use different colors to distinguish actions like hand-holding, illumination, or photo invites. We're also working on faster hand-hold switching, showing friend notes above characters and in interaction panels, and other quality-of-life upgrades.
Photo Feature: Quick Delete Function
With the new Home feature debuting in Version 1.9, some furniture items will be unlocked through photography. To help you manage your shots, we've added a function to delete photos immediately after taking them. Took a photo you don't like? Delete it right away to keep your album tidy. After the update, Leila, the camera modification merchant, will also offer new photo poses, so don't forget to stop by and check them out!
Color Lookbook: Easier to Try On
In previous versions, we improved Color Lookbook recommendations so more standout designs could be seen. Based on your feedback, we're adding a highly requested feature in version 1.9: after importing and saving a Dyeing Scheme from your Lookbook, you can jump straight to the Wardrobe to try it on, making it easier for stylists to put on your ideal looks! In the DIY Workshop, you can easily remove the current dyeing scheme from a piece of clothing , making experimentation smoother and more fun.
Graphics optimization: PS5 60 FPS is Here!
Graphics optimization has always been the priority for our development team.
In the new update, we're introducing a Performance Mode option for PS5. Both PS5 and PS5 Pro users can select this mode to enjoy smoother, more responsive gameplay with the frame rate cap raised to 60 FPS. The original 30 FPS option will stay as Graphics Mode.
On PC, Version 1.9 adds support for Intel XeSS super resolution and frame generation. Stylists using AMD and Intel graphics cards will enjoy better overall image clarity.
We've also cleaned up the main interface on PC and PS to improve convenience and usability. Buttons are grouped more clearly to better match your play habits. On PS specifically, we've refreshed some button styles, and we will keep tuning them based on your feedback.

Our Response to Recent Concerns
We've seen the discussions about leaks and our recent official actions. We'd like to clarify a few points to avoid confusion or misunderstanding, and to apologize where our earlier wording fell short.
Our recent post about "leaks" was intended to reaffirm our stance against unauthorized leaks. The handheld [Pounding Hammer] is an in-game hammer that symbolizes action against unlawful leaking. The post was simply meant to show that we take leaks very seriously. And that [Pounding Hammer] you received in-game is only a playful symbol of our stance on cracking down on leaks. It was never directed at our stylists, or the broader community in general. Of course, if you want to give us a virtual 'bonk' on the head for causing the confusion, we wouldn't blame you!
The Infinity Nikki team has always stood together with every stylist who loves the game, and with our community.
Your feedback means the world to us. We've received your suggestions, and our team is carefully reviewing them to make the necessary adjustments.
As always, we'll keep listening to your feedback and finding ways to make your experience in Miraland with us the best it can be.
The sounds of rustling bamboo and distant music fill the air. A new version is on the way, and Florawish is always ready to welcome new stylists. Follow the music and let's embark on a brand-new adventure together!
