The Story

Eternal Farewell

The heavy curtain finally fell, the old suitcase snapped shut.

Within the silent Box Theater, the last glimmer on her face was swallowed by darkness...

Twelve years spun on in endless circles, and the days blurred the edges of what had been. Only one promise remained—like a thread hung from above, drawing her to sing day after day: to become the greatest troupe in history and to complete the grandest tour across Miraland. In the name of "Eternity," that melody was kept alive.

She believed it with all her heart—until the costume she had never worn appeared again, and that familiar tune slipped into the air.

The past stirred in the dust. Along with it came a name: Lorelei.

How dear that troupe had been—family in all but blood, companions who shared every laugh. Under the banner of Lorelei they had spent six years together, bringing joy to countless audiences until at last they stood on the stage of their dreams.

On the eve of that performance, her fingers had traced over a mailed sketch: an exquisite classical gown blooming on paper. Beside it, her younger brother had copied out a carefully written melody, ink still fresh. It was the most precious gift she had ever received.

Yet the letter of happiness she prepared in return was never sent—an abrupt dash, a fated turn frozen into eternal regret.

She watched the troupe rise from obscurity to glory; she watched the crowds swell from a few to thunderous halls; she watched all they had built with their own hands collapse in roaring flame.

No one remembers Renita. No one knows Lorelei.

The song she sang in the blaze should have been her final offering to the stage. Instead, memories sank into a fog. Some four thousand days scattered like grains of sand, drifting on endless winds of time. The companions inside the suitcase remained as they were, while the man who carried them was robbed of years in solitude.

With his life, he had forged a dream as fleeting as moonlight on water, obsessively preserving a beautiful memory that could never return. But that same devotion became a spell that chained his soul to the past: there was no laughter, only unending remorse and a river of tears.

This was never what she had wished for. The joy she wanted to spread, the happiness and melodies she longed to share—these were not meant to be imprisoned in an unchanging "eternity." When would he finally see that?

Outside the suitcase, the scratch of pen on paper slowed and then stopped. At last a long sigh broke the silence—a sigh so heavy it seemed to carry twelve years of unlifted chains. It was the prison the guilt-stricken man had built for himself, binding the rest of his days.

"Let it remain in the past... Along with all the other old things." A frail, hoarse voice whispered.

The soul that had wandered so long in regret finally chose to let go.

The long, intoxicating dream drew its final curtain. At last it was time to say farewell.

My dearest friends, my beloved family... perhaps in another life we will meet again—if another life awaits.

Farewell, to the past. Farewell to the dream that is no longer eternal.

The Inspiration Behind the Design

For this five-star outfit we wanted to fuse the lavish ornamentation of Rococo and Baroque fashions with the vibrant, fantastic beauty of the Nikki series, creating a truly gorgeous, elegant, and luxurious ballroom gown. Imagine the finest satin, intricate, layered embroidery and glittering jewels—the hem sweeping across the stage carpet with a soft "swish." From that atmosphere we built the gown's overall framework and then filled it with detailed touches, ultimately presenting the "Echoed Dreams" outfit.

The Details Behind the Design

[Headwear & Hair Accessory]

One of the most memorable traits of Baroque fashion is its unapologetically oversized headwear, so we leaned into that Baroque excess—yes, the headpiece is deliberately grand. Staying true to the musical theme, it incorporates pipe-organ motifs to form a magnificent, castle-like silhouette. Feathers dusted with flecks of gold shimmer as they drift, adding to the opulent allure. As a standalone hair accessory, they can also be mixed and matched for versatile styling.

[Hair]

The hair echoes Rococo silhouettes with complex braids and ornate chignons. The most important goal was to avoid a wig-like appearance while keeping the flamboyant complexity of the style. For this and every Nikki hairstyle we carefully design every strand around the face—lively, natural curls that still read as a polished, styled look. Above all, the hair flatters and frames Nikki's face, magnifying her beauty.

[Dress]

The silhouette follows classic Rococo/Baroque proportions: a traditionally cut bodice and sleeves paired with a versatile, ornamental piece around the neck that enhances the dress' grandeur and highlights Nikki's delicate features. The skirt weaves in many musical motifs to echo the outfit's theme. To capture the original concept of "a sumptuous train falling across the stage," the lowest tier uses dazzling sequined fabrics that catch the distant, luxurious stage lights. The asymmetric side train is a focal flourish, adding movement and liveliness to the layered skirt, and the skirt patterns subtly hide small, clever musical details.

[Shoes]

Inspired by classical ballroom footwear and musical elements—and developed with the art team's creative input—these refined dance shoes complete the look. During a lyrical performance we don't want Nikki to be straining on her toes, but the shoes still need a bit of lift to support the voluminous skirt, so we discreetly raise the platform just enough to strike the right balance between comfort and silhouette.

The Concept Behind the Ability

The outfit's ability is centered on an operatic performance that ties directly to its aesthetic—letting melody and movement weave freely across the open world.

Once equipped, you can summon a Melody Carpet in the open world, and even invite friends to join you in a music-filled dance spectacle. Each note-tile on the Melody Carpet lights up as you step across it; elegance and joy unfold together—follow the flowing notes and enjoy a delightful musical interlude with your companions.
